Calendar of Events

Christmas Walk, Saturday, December  5  between 5 and 8 PM  Defiance and the Yellow Farmhouse decorate up for the Holidays and offer a night of special treats and food & wine parings.  Defiance merchants open their doors and the Daniel Boone Home and Village conducts its spectacular Christmas Walk.  Starting at 5PM there iwill be decoration and lighting of the Giant Christmas Tree in downtown Defiance, caroling and an appearance by you-know-who. A Great event for the entire family.

Open Saturday & Sunday through December 13 - Noon to 5 PM. Then we close the Tasting Room for the winter. Reopening for Spring Barrel Tasting is March 27 & 27 (see below for details)

Grappa Grill Wine Dinner, Tuesday, February 2. Join us at Grappa Grill in St. Charles for an outstanding cuisine & wine event. A four course game dinner will be paired with Yellow Farmhouse Wines. Winemaker, Dale Rollings, will present a program on the Amazing Hisrory of Norton and a features a special early-release tasting of  our first "Estate Bottled"  Missouri Norton in a complementary embossed sourvenir tasting glass.  Reservations required.  Call Jack Borgmeyer at 636-940-5400.

Spring Barrel Tasting. Sat. & Sun, March 27 & 28, 2010.  We pop the bungs on the big Oak barrels in our Tasting Room and sample the new wine that has been asleep all winter.  It's our Spring season-opener and a great opportunity to see what the effects of Oak barrel tasting are on our wines. A fun week-end and a great way to shake off those winter blahs!

KATY Trail Father's Day Family Bike Ride, to benefit prostate cance research at Siteman Cance Center, Father's Day, Sunday, June 20, 2010. A great way to spend Father's day with a family bike ride on the Katy Trail from a starting point of your choice to Defiance, and the dedication fo the new Defiance "City" Bike Trail right through the town. Bar-b-que and other refreshemtns for all riders and it benefits prostate cancer research at Sitemen.The web site will be up shortly for more details and sing-up.
